Good story ideas but Terrible Wordsmithing

Frequently incoherent. Too many errors in massively mangled grammar, continuity, chronological order and too to a much lesser extent spelling and word choice. It would not surprising if the author wrote this after 18+ hours working and partying. But maybe just really rushed job of capturing the creative stream of consciousness.

Also LitRPG writers are terribly vulnerable to easy to spot numerical errors especially on character sheets. Shakes readers confidence when levels and stats reverse or stay the same when story says it's an advance. But also when characters repeat cashing in the same event for rewards within 10-30 pages. So just quick flipping through character sheets to confirm progression would help final product.

In any case this series has increasingly needed proof readers to highlight suggested corrections and interpretations for the author approve.

Needs an editor.

The core story of this series so far is great: creative and interesting with good characters. The world feels complex and large, with many interwoven realms, cities, associations, and sects.

The editing is terrible and sometimes reads as a first draft. Also, although the author does a good job weaving together different points of view, it can get excessive and feels choppy. It reduces the reader's ability to understand and identify with the characters, as well, no matter how deep the characters are.

The worst parts are all the interminable and detailed walls of text that feel like a dry textbook for a fictional magic world or the military. I skip these sections freely, but I think the books would be better if a lot of that were put in footnotes or appendices. Some people must like such details, but they bore me silly, making the story drag and feel repetitive. Much of it could be condensed, as well, which a good editor could help with.

For example, The Lord of the Rings has extensive appendices for people who like the details and Tolkien doesn't put it all in the middle of the story to kill its momentum.

Lots of action!

Really action packed. I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Can't wait for the next one.

Good story, but absolutely needs an editor.

EDITOR. All of these books need an editor- from simple misspellings, to gaps in continuity where a character who shouldn’t know something suddenly speaks as if he has new information.

They’re still readable and enjoyable, but with some work they could be much better.

It’s starts off action packed and just keeps on going. There is no rest for Eric and Rugrat, or the people of Alva.
As Alva, Vermeer and now Vuzgul grow, so does interest in the power of these places. This brings unwanted attention to our growing group.
