Michael Chatfield is an international bestseller who lives to create character-driven stories set in fact-paced worlds. His main genres are Fantasy, Science Fiction, and LitRPG, but he enjoys adding enough realism to make the stories leap off the page.
Chatfield has several complete series, such as the portalled to another world LitRPG series Ten Realms, the humor-filled fantasy of the Death Knight series, and a Space Opera called the Free Fleet. Chatfield is working on the Builder’s Legacy currently, a science fiction litRPG book.
When he’s not writing stories, Chatfield enjoys traveling to other countries, drinking a good beer, and getting lost in a video game.

Fun Facts About Me
I started writing professionally when I was 21 and haven’t put a pen down since.
I started writing professionally because I wanted to take a shot, I wanted to push myself to completion instead of just tinkering to just show that I could do it. Then people enjoyed the book, I enjoyed the story and kept writing and it eventually became a career.
My biggest influence was reading some great stories and then side parts that they had mentioned I wanted more of. I started to think of those little rabbit holes and that turned into me writing books based on those ideas that got stirred up in my brain. Now whenever something really holds my attention or gets my imagination going I copy it down so that I can use it to fuel and mix together with other ideas to help inspire or grow out a story.
Inspiration comes from everywhere and should not be limited by anything, dancing, drawing, painting, photography, travel, people watching, a little noise clip or something you overhear someone saying randomly.
When I’m not writing, most of the time I’m reading, travelling for research or meeting up fans and authors, watching movies, playing video games, trying to experience as much of life as I can. I love going on adventures in my own life as they help to develop out the stories that I’m writing, grounding them in reality. There are certainly crazy things that can happen in scifi and fantasy, but there are equally cool and crazy things that have happened in history or are happening right now.
